Meet Stephen

A personal introduction to Breathing Soul.

STEPHEN J. THOMPSON · FOUNDER OF BREATHING SOUL

Teaching grounded in lived experience.

For more than 25 years, my work has centred on human consciousness, spiritual development and personal transformation.

I work with people who are ready to look beneath familiar patterns and explore a deeper understanding of themselves. Many carry significant professional responsibilities. Others arrive at a turning point, or sense that outward success has left something essential unexplored.

Experience understood. Awareness lived.

My earlier career in banking gave me firsthand experience of ambition, achievement and the demands of professional life. My path into spiritual teaching grew from a deeper inquiry into identity, meaning and freedom.

The principle that guides my work is simple: teach from experience that has been examined and understood. What matters is how that understanding becomes useful in the way we live, relate and make decisions.

How I work

Our work begins with thoughtful dialogue. Together, we examine the beliefs, attachments and habitual reactions shaping your experience, and explore the possibility of responding with greater clarity and discernment.

At the heart of my teaching is the movement from the conditioned “me” towards the conscious “I”: the awareness that can observe a pattern without being governed by it.

Breathwork, meditation, prayer and reflection support this inquiry. They create space for presence and integration; the deeper work is to bring awareness into everyday choices.

A personal approach

Each person brings a different history, set of responsibilities and spiritual perspective. Sessions respond to the individual, with practical reflection between meetings to help understanding take root.

My role is to help you develop your own capacity to see clearly, exercise discernment and act with greater inner authority.
